What's the difference between C1D1 and C1D2?

At their core, both C1D1 and C1D2 fixtures are designed to withstand an explosion and not make the situation worse by exposing an electrical current into a volatile environment. The main difference is the C1D1 fixtures are built to withstand an explosion from both outside the fixture and inside the fixture (possible leakage into the housing), while C1D2 fixtures are built to only withstand an external explosion. All of our fixtures are IP66 or higher, IK10 or higher, and NEMA 4X so you can be assured your facility is receiving the best quality products, and ensuring the safety of your workers.
